My friend and I, went to a shop which prints custom designs on shirts.
It was a small shop at the corridor in the inorbit mall.
We were discussing if we could create good revenue from LEBTOP at all . We assumed a person talks 30 mins each day on phone, whose bills LEBTOP has to pay.
30 mins * 30 days = 900 Minutes per month.
Call charges are around 1 Re per month.
Cost per customer = 900 Rs per month.
So we wanted to do a survey and find out if people are willing to pay atleast Rs 500 to learn English through Phone. SO we decided to ask the store boy.
We asked him , if he could read what was written on the shirt, i think he took it as an insult initially and replied "If u understand whats written , then thats enough."
Then We then explained our Idea LEBTOP and asked him if he was willing to learn English on phone by paying Rs500 monthly.
He said Rs500 is the most affordable price to learn English and he would definitely learn through LEBTOP if we started it. That small boy was earning Rs 5000/- per month and was ready to pay Rs500 per month, which is 10% of his income , to learn English.
He asked me " By when this idea will be launched?" My friends said "an year", i said "3 months to 6 months Max" being a Lean Startup reader.
We got our shirts printed and were leaving.
While we were leaving they (2 store boys) said " Please inform us when the idea is launched and give me its number"
